Google is going to offer its Google Car rental service to US consumers by the end of the month, the company announced today.
The Google Car Rent service is going on sale today, March 31, in the US, with pricing starting at $75 per month, and goes live on April 3.
Google said the service, which lets customers rent a Google car with up to three other users, allows them to save money by not having to worry about finding a car rental company or car dealer.
“With the Google CarRental service, you can get a reliable rental car from your own home or from a trusted local car rental provider,” Google said in a blog post announcing the service.
“We’ll also provide you with our car rental car fleet to ensure that your rental car is always available when you need it.”
Google added that the service can be used to travel, as well as at restaurants and gas stations, or to travel to your local coffee shop or movie theater.
Google says the Google car rental service is designed to be quick and easy to use.
“You can schedule a pickup or drop-off in minutes, or use our app to check your rental availability and book your ride,” Google added.
Google is also launching a new Google Drive app for iOS and Android.
